It’s not the right cat-blogging day but screw it, I’m so angry about this I don’t know what to do with myself:

To summarize, last week some asshat here in Kelowna stuck a mother cat and her 9 kittens in a large tupperware container, sealed the lid and put it out in the sun. Luckily someone walked by and found the container and saved the suffocating and hyperthermic cats in time. They all survived, but it’s still one of the shittiest examples of animal cruelty I have ever heard.
If they ever catch the person who did this, I’d like him/her to be put in a closed tupperware container out in 30C+ weather and see how they like that. That’s the least violent punishment I can think of.
Seriously, like it’s said in the video, there is no reason for people to kill their pets: they can be surrendered to the SPCA, no questions asked. According to my records, my cat was surrendered to the Grand Forks SPCA a few months before I got her. I almost wish I knew who had to give her up so I can thank them, as backwards as that may sound, because she is an awesome cat and I can’t imagine the last 5 years without her.
Sorry for the depressing content. But if you go hug your pet you’ll probably feel better real soon. Unless it’s a fish and you’ve just killed it.
I’m sorry, but this is the saddest case of animal cruelty I have ever seen! As an animal advocate and rescuer of many injured and abandoned animals, I cannot stress enough the importance of the government giving the SPCA more legal clout than they currently have. Thankfully, this adorable family survived their ordeal, although barely I’m sure. I hope whoever did this sees what she/he put these living beings through. Hopefully, this person does not have children!
Holy shit, I cannot believe what I just read here! I did not watch the video as I really cannot handle that kind of thing and it would probably send me into more of a rage than I am feeling now. I will join that Tupperware party if this piece of garbage is ever tracked down.
I cannot watch that stuff. I think anyone who is cruel to an animal should be convicted and killed. I don’t usually believe in the death penalty but in the case of harming an animal I could go with it. Thank you for posting it and bringing awareness to the issue. Now I am off to cuddle a herd of little dogs after I pat my cat.
Yeah, the only pets I have at the moment are the goldfish in my outdoor pond – I don’t reckon they’d appreciate a hug!!! :^)
There isnt much more to say about this disgusting, horrible, sick act.. other than, I hope to hell there is an investigation into this & the person is caught…
